IT JobDesc and the example


What is IT JobDesc?

IT JobDesc (Information Technology Job Description) is a list that describe your job-to-do in a company. The list is bit difference from one company to another, also differ from what kind of IT position is. Example:



WebMaster

  • Manage and maintenance blog.
  • Answer Visitor Questions. Handle and answer all question from live chat, comments and email.
  • Minor update blog layout, design, content, page etc.
  • Update news, information, contact etc.
  • Create new post/content. Get new post or content from writer or contributor.
  • Manage content, post, tag and category.



WebProgramer

  • Create a website. Get all needed resources from WebDesigner.
  • Link website to server database. Link and make sure database is connected to server database.
  • Make a good coded script that will be used in website as client needs.
  • Security fix.



WebDesigner

  • Design (major update) website layout, color, theme, font, etc.
  • Supply resources for WebProgramer such as icon, graphic, picture, etc.
  • Fix error layout.





There are so many position in IT and the JobDesc will be different too, another example such as :  IT Support, IT Programmer, Systems Engineer, System Analyst, Network Engineer, etc. Below are another example of IT job description.


IT help desk support specialist job description.

Help desk support specialists provide technical and troubleshooting assistance related to computer hardware and software, mobile devices and other tech tools and products. Working within a company, these professionals must be great communicators and be able to translate their technical knowledge into actionable direction. When they don’t have an answer, they know how to research the problem and come up with a solution.


IT help desk technician job description.

Help desk technicians provide prompt responses to questions from employees. They troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems related to operating systems, hardware and software. They also document problems and conversations to create a log that can be referenced by other technicians and for training purposes.


IT help desk analyst job description.

Help desk analysts perform first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting support to end-users and customers. Working under minimal supervision, help desk analysts receive calls and inquiries, provide support in accordance with established processes and document incidents and remedies. They also escalate complex incidents to second-level support personnel.


IT help desk manager job description.

Help desk managers oversee a team of technicians, analysts and specialists while providing high-level support to customer inquiries that had been elevated by other personnel. They also manage schedules and workloads of staff members, provide training and support, implement process improvements and make hiring decisions, when necessary. Help desk managers may compile reports to track customer churn, personnel performance and adherence to established service-level targets.
